Taichung Power Plant

Taichung Power Plant is a very powerful coal-fired power plant located in Taiwan. In terms of installed capacity of coal units, it is the fourth largest in the world and also, unfortunately, a very important air polluter.

However, the power plant is also supplemented with wind and gas blocks, so the total output of the plant is up to 5,824 MW. In total, ten coal-fired units with a nominal output of 550 MW are in operation, in addition to four gas units with an output of 280 MW and 22 wind turbines with an output of up to 44 MW.
