Tatan Power Plant

The Tatan Power Plant is an electricity generation facility that uses natural gas as fuel. With its capacity of 4,384 MW, it is not only the largest gas-fired power plant in Taiwan, but also the most powerful combined cycle gas-fired power plant in the world. The source that supplies the facility with fuel is the Taichung LNG terminal, the supplier of liquefied gas is CPC Corporation.

The power plant is undergoing extensive modernization and expansion, which aims to increase the capacity to the planned 7,546 MW.
