The Kia Sportage is a popular SUV on many continents, which appeared in the Korean brand’s range back in 1993. Given the nature of this car, it goes without saying that the Kia Sportage is also available in all-wheel drive versions. It depends on the specific motorization. In 2021, the fifth generation of this successful vehicle began to be produced.

The first – generation Kia Sportage was sold with a total of five 2.0-litre petrol engines (three with all-wheel drive). They have power from 70 to 94 kW and also with two diesels (both 4×4 engines) with a capacity of 2.0 and 2.2 liters and a power of 61 and 82 kW.

The second generation was sold with three types of gasoline engine of 2.0-2.7 (2.7 is a six-cylinder). Power is 104-129 kW, and also with eight diesels of 2.0 liters and a power of 83-110 kW.

The third-generation Sportage is sold with five petrol engines of 1.6-2.4 liters. Their power is in the range of 99-130 kW, and also with seven diesels of 1.7-2.0 liters and a power of 85-135 kW.

The fourth generation has been on sale since 2016 and is available with seven types of gasoline motto with a capacity of 1.6 – 2.4 liters. There are three diesels with a capacity of 1.6 , 1.7 and 2.0 liters.

The fifth-generation Kia Sportage is produced from 2021, in North America from 2023. Depending on the specific market, it is available with 1.6-, 2.0- and 2.5-liter gasoline engines. The power of these engines is 112 – 140 kW. Diesels with a capacity of 1.6 and 2.0 liters are also on sale. The output of these engines is 85, 100 and 137 kW. The range of classic engines is naturally complemented by hybrid versions. Gasoline hybrids are based on a 1.6-liter engine, while diesel hybrids rely on a 1.6-liter unit.
