Peugeot 208 car battery

The Peugeot 208 is a small passenger car with B-segment parameters, which the traditional French automaker has been selling since 2012. There is a hatchback, both three-door and five-door.

Thus, in the model range, this car replaced the Peugeot 207. Unlike its predecessor, the Peugeot 208 is no longer available as a station wagon. Instead, the French automaker offers a derivative crossover called Peugeot 2008.

In 2019, a new generation came to the market.

Peugeot 208 of the first generation can be bought with a total of six types of gasoline engine with a capacity of 1.0-1.6 liters and power ranging from 50-147 kW, as well as with three diesels of 1.4 and 1.6 liters and power of 50, 68 and 84 kW.

The second generation of Peugeot 208 has been produced since 2019. It is on sale with four types of gasoline engine with a capacity of 1.0 – 1.6 liters and a power of 55 – 96 kW. There are also diesel engines with a capacity of 1.5 and 1.6 liters and a power of 75 kW. Not all power units are on sale in global markets.

In Peugeot 208 gasoline cars, car batteries with a capacity of   50 – 55 Ah are used, and in diesels, batteries with a capacity of 60 – 70 Ah.

The Peugeot 208 is a car for global markets, so it is not surprising that its production takes place in several factories.

The first generation Peugeot 208 is assembled in: France: Mulhouse (Mulhouse Plant); Poissy (Poissy Plant), Brazil: Porto Real (PSA Brazil), Malaysia: Gurun (NAM), Slovakia: Trnava (Trnava Plant) and Iran: Tehran (IKAP).

The production of the second generation of this car is already concentrated in fewer places. Production takes place in: Slovakia: Trnava (Trnava Plant), Morocco: Kenitra (Kenitra Plant) and Argentina: El Palomar, Buenos Aires.

In the second generation, the Peugeot 208 is also available with an electric drive. This version is referred to as the Peugeot e-208.
