USS Rhode Island (BB-17)

USS Rhode Island (BB-17) is a battleship that entered active service with the United States Navy in February 1906. Its parameters rank in the Virginia class and, like other ships of this class, ranked in the Atlantic Fleet. In 1907, she joined the so-called Great White Fleet on a voyage around the world.

In the following years, she defended U.S. interests during the so-called Mexican Revolution, and during World War I, the ship patrolled submarines on the east coast.
