USS Georgia (BB-15)

USS Georgia (BB-15) is a battleship that entered service with the United States Navy in September 1906. In terms of parameters, she fell into the Virginia class, as the third ship after USS Virginia (BB-13) and USS Nebraska (BB-14).

The ship was capable of a maximum speed of 19 knots (35 km/h; 22 mph) and a crew of 812 members. At the end of 1907, of course, she joined the Great White Fleet’s voyage around the world.

During the Mexican Revolution, she defended her country’s interests in the Gulf until she was subsequently in 1916 decommissioned. However, because the beginning of the First World War came, it was then used again, albeit only for training newcomers or escort ship.

At the very end of her career, she was transferred to the Pacific Fleet, where she served as a flagship.
