Hyundai Tucson car battery

The Hyundai Tucson is a popular SUV that the traditional Korean automaker has been selling since 2004. In the second generation, the car was sold in some markets under the name Hyundai ix35.

The first-generation Hyundai Tucson could be bought with a total of four petrol engines (one six-cylinder and two 4×4) with a capacity of 2.0 and 2.7 liters and an output of 104-129 kW, as well as with ten diesels of 2.0 liters and power ranging from 83-110 kW.

The second generation, which was sold in some markets as the Hyundai ix35, is available with four types of gasoline engine with a capacity of 1.6, 2.0 and 2.4 liters and a power of 99 – 130 kW. There were also diesels with a capacity of 1.7 and 2.0 liters and a power of 85 – 135 kW.

The third generation Hyundai Tucson was produced from 2015 to 2021. It is available with petrol engines of 1.6, 2.0 and 2.4 liters and power ranging from 97 – 135 kW. Diesel engines with a capacity of 1.6, 1.7 and 2.0 liters and with a power of 85 – 136 kW are also on sale. Not all engines are available in global markets.

The fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson went into production in 2020, but came on the market as a 2022 model year. It is still on sale with petrol engines with a capacity of 1.5, 1.6, 2.0 and 2.5 liters and a power of 115 – 147 kW. Diesel engines have a capacity of 1.6 and 2.0 liters and a power of 85 – 137 kW. Compared to previous generations, there is also a choice of hybrid units. In combination with the 1.6 gasoline engine, they have a power in the range of 110 – 195 kW.

In the petrol cars of the Hyundai Tucson batteries with a capacity of 60-63 Ah are used, and in diesels then batteries with a capacity of 95 Ah.

The Tucson is sold in many markets, so it’s no wonder that the car is assembled in multiple locations. Production lines are in South Korea (Ulsan), Czech Republic (Nošovice), United States (Montgomery, Alabama), China (Beijing), Taiwan (Hukou), Vietnam (Ninh Bình) and India (Chennai).
