The first generation of the Volvo S60 was produced from 2000 to 2010 and was sold with a total of seventeen types of petrol engine with a capacity of 2.0-2.5 liters and an output of 103-224 kW, as well as six diesels of 2.4 liters and 90-136 kW.

The second generation has been produced since 2010 and is on sale with a total of nine gasoline engines (one five-cylinder and one six-cylinder) with a capacity of 1.6-3.0 liters and a power of 110-225 kW, as well as with nine diesels (seven five-cylinder) of content.
