Bruce Nuclear Generating Station

Bruce Nuclear Generating Station is the full name of a nuclear power plant located in Canada, specifically on Lake Huron, Ontario. The facility currently operates a total of eight reactors, which for a long time was the highest number at a single site in the world. It wasn’t until 2016 that the plant lost its primacy when it was overtaken at least in terms of nominal capacity by South Korea’s Kori power plant.

The power plant was built between 1977 and 1987 and currently employs 4,000 workers. The eight local reactors are actually divided into two separate power plants, marked A and B. Water from the local lake is naturally used for cooling in the secondary circuit.
