Wudongde Dam
Wudongde Dam is a large dam with a power plant that you can find in southwest China. It originated on the upper section of the river called Yangtze and the dam lies in two provinces (Sichuan and Yunnan).
With a dam height of 240 m (787 ft), it is one of the tallest in the world. The whole project was completed very quickly. Construction began in 2015 and in 2021 the entire project was completed. Electricity is generated by 12 turbines, each with an output of 850 MW, for a total of up to 10200 MW. Turbines are, of course, of the Francis type. The power plant is operated by the same company as the famous Three Gorges.
