Shanghai Tower

Shanghai Tower is a really well-known skyscraper that you can find Lujiazui in Pudong. It is a 632-meter-high building that offers a total of 128 floors for use. The floor area, which is used not only for offices, but also for leisure activities and retailers, is 380,000 m2.

The whole construction started in December, at the end of 2008. And it was done quite quickly, on August 3, 2013, the skyscraper was already rising to its final height. The finishing work as well as the exterior cladding was then completed in 2015.

In terms of total height, it is the second tallest building in China (as of 2022) and the highest observation deck (562 m above the terrain) is accessible here. The building was designed to minimize its impact on the environment. Exemplary is the double insulating cladding, very well functional in summer and winter or the collection and use of rainwater.
